Nestle Sells Vitamins Business to Yellow Wood Partners for $1B
Nestle has agreed to sell its mainstream vitamins, minerals and <a href="https://health.kporia.com/what-to-know-about-supplements-for-pmos/” title=”What To Know About Supplements for PMOS”>supplements business to private equity firm Yellow Wood Partners for $1 billion. The transaction, subject to regulatory approvals, is expected to close by the first half of 2027, according to a company announcement. The deal covers seven brands: Natures Bounty, Osteo Bi-Flex, Ester-C, Gard, Nuun, Puritans Pride and Sisu, along with Nestle’s U.S. private-label supplements business and related manufacturing, packaging, warehousing and distribution operations.
The divested business generated $1.2 billion in sales in 2025. This sale continues an active period of portfolio reshaping for Nestle as it focuses on high-growth areas and sectors where it holds market leadership, such as pet food and coffee.
Nestle has been seeking buyers for several of its businesses as CEO Philippe Navratil pursues an aggressive turnaround plan. In July, the company sold half of its premium waters business to Platinum Equity in a $3.4 billion deal, creating a joint venture with brands like S.Pellegrino, ttle Coffee to Centurium Capital and the remainder of its ice cream business to Froneri
Navratil commented that the mainstream vitamins, minerals and supplements space has evolved, and the brands require a different approach under dedicated ownership. The vitamin brands are predominantly concentrated in the U.S., with a presence in other countries including Canada and China. Nestle will retain its premium, science-led vitamins, minerals and supplements brands, such as Solgar and Pure Encapsulations.
Navratil described the sale as another important step in the strategic transformation of the portfolio, with reive advantage. Nestle reported $111 billion in global revenue for 2025 and has concentrated on top-performing brands in coffee, petcare, nutrition, food and snacks. In the U.S., its largest market, the company owns brands like Toll House, Hot Pockets, Lean Cuisine and Nespresso
In the second quarter, Nestle’s organic sales rose 3.7% globally, driven by higher pricing and increased volumes. Quarterly sales reached $26.8 billion (21.8 billion Swiss francs), slightly above the $26.6 billion (21.6 billion francs) reported a year earlier. In Zone Americas, organic sales grew 2.8%, with sales of $11.69 billion (9.54 billion francs).
